Twenty years ago I painted this image entitled, “Little Girls Will Mothers Be” in which our daughter, Heather was the model. In the painting she is pretending to be a young mother.
Last night (twenty years later) Heather and her husband, Kevin took part in our family tradition of cutting the cake to find out if they are having a boy or girl. Heather and Kevin went and had an ultrasound earlier in the day and the “secret” results were sent to the cake maker who put either pink or blue filling in the cake. Here’s a video filmed by our 6 year old grandson Zac. Watch and see the result!
I love your art, I wonder how you are able to have such beautiful images of Jesus, the other parts of your drawings can be from life, but to be able to capture our elder brother is amazing. Thank you for sharing.
What an awesome way to find out the sex of your child. Such an awesome story on how the picture was created. Thank You so much for sharing this with us.
