Throughout the years I have shared many aspects of my life through the paintings I’ve enjoyed creating. Cherished memories from my childhood, faith promoting experiences, fun times with family and friends…all of these have served as inspiration for the images I’ve put on canvas. For me, October is a particularly nostalgic month, filled with recollections of garden harvests, fall carnivals and the festive finale – a night of costumes and trick-or-treating. I don’t remember any store-bought costumes so I think I went as a hobo for five years in a row! This painting features two of my granddaughters creating their own memories as they take inventory of their door to door visits. It’s entitled “Halloween Sweetness”. I told them however that all that sweetness could give them a very “wicked” headache!
