“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” (Revelation 3:20)
It is comforting to know that these words still apply. For those who have stumbled and lost their way, or for those who have not yet found the Savior, He is there, now as always. He offers His love unconditionally, extending it in full measure to any and all who will open their hearts to accept Him. So great is Christ’s love that He seeks to enter even the most hardened of hearts, symbolized by the heart-shaped stone to the left of the window. But like the closed door that can only be opened from the inside, the heart must be opened from within, freely and willingly, to accept His love.
As the sun sets in the distance, a butterfly floats past. It is a reminder of God’s promise of eternal life to all who will believe in His Son who said, “…I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10)
