Cream and Sugar
1997
A splendid afternoon having yummy cake and tea,
And lively conversation with the finest friends that could ever be.
The chit, the chat about this and that, the dresses trimmed with laces,
The bric~a~brac from the china rack of the hostess ever gracious.
The tinkling and clinking of the cups and silver spoons,
Add music to the perfumed air and play a delicate tune.
Sweet cream and sugar bring back memories of younger days in June,
With yummy cake and tea on a splendid afternoon.
