Any attempt to portray the Savior Jesus Christ feels presumptuous — each Christian carries their own deeply personal image of Him. This painting was never meant to be a definitive portrait, but rather a symbol — an attempt to capture something of His spirit and character, and to invite His presence into our lives.”
