Greg Olsen, born September 25, 1958, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, is an American artist known for capturing themes of spirituality, family, and the joys of everyday life through his art.
Raised in the farming community of Iona, Idaho, Olsen was encouraged by his family to explore his artistic talent from a young age. His high school art teacher, Bob Whitney, played a pivotal role in honing his skills. Following high school, he attended Utah State University to study illustration, an educational journey that also led him to meet his wife, Sydnie Cazier.
Olsen started his artistic career as an in-house illustrator in Salt Lake City before transitioning to full-time painting. During the mid-1980s, his work was featured at the Trailside Gallery in Scottsdale, Arizona.

In 1993, he signed with a large national publisher, which brought his work to a wider audience. Olsen’s art has found a place in notable institutions, including the Pentagon, NCAA Hall of Fame, the U.S. Forest Service, and numerous religious and educational settings.
While Olsen has painted a variety of subjects, he is primarily recognized for his ability to paint Christian-themed art that resonates across multiple religious denominations.
Greg’s philosophy on art is quite simple. “I appreciate the beauty of art and the way it makes me feel,” he says. “I believe that art has the potential to heal our souls, inspire our hearts and awaken our minds. My hope is that in these images you will find something familiar, something which will resonate and remind you of what is important in your own life.”
